We Had A Baby!!

Baby Bryce Clark Nielsen finally joined our family August 4th!!
He was 9lbs 4 oz and 22.5 inches long!!

His arrival was long over due for me even though his due date wasn't until the 6th. As you can tell he was a big baby therefore I was a huge pregnant lady and felt every bit of it. We are so happy that he is here- health and happy! Addison just adores him, but has been a little jealous. the first two days she cried over everything and only wanted to be held. She is doing much better now as she helps with putting the Binky in his mouth and getting diapers for him. She is a great sister... it just took a bit for her to get use to her little world completely changing!
The first thing that she said when she saw him was cute nose! Which he does have ginormous nostrils! He can thank his dad for that! Besides being a big boy in general his does have big hands and feet. Surprisingly though his head is of normal size! He is such a cute little guy and loves to snuggle already.
Brandon is a proud father and has been so helpful this first week. With such intense feeding schedule he takes the load off of me and has diaper duty even at 3 in the morning. He has also been there to Addi extra attention when I can't. Thanks hunny for all your help! I love you!
AND for those of you who want to know........It was a pretty crazy labor~ At about 3 am Monday morning I started with contractions that were so crazily intense, 10 times worse than with Addison, I knew we better get to the hospital soon. Not to mention they were only 2 mins apart. By the time we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 7! (you only go to 10 before you start to push the baby out for those who don't know) Being that close they said it was way to late for an epidural, so my only option was an intrathecal... a one time shot into the spine that acts like an epidural just not always as strong, is more rapid acting and therefore doesn't last as long. BUT to me it was heaven! The nurses said that my contractions were so strong that it was just pulling my cervix open making it very painful and making me dilate quickly. So after only four hours of labor Bryce was born!
He came out nice and green from pooping inside me. Our doctor called him the HULK from being so big and green! Should I be Proud? Also being so big, I did tear again, (only a 2 this time) so this last week I have been pretty sore and waddling around but things are getting much better.
We are a very happy family and so grateful that he is health!

Congrats! I have been checking the last few days in hopes of seeing this post. What a cutie. I love the picture of Addi already quieting the baby. At that moment in time it probably didn't sink in that he was going home with her. My mom said I did the same thing when my sister came along. I no longer ruled the roost! Congrats again and happy healing! :)
